Imports run in the background

Starting an import does not lock up the app. The work runs in the background and you can keep using KeyMetriq while data arrives. This is why the setup wizard sends you to the dashboard immediately after the first import starts.

The progress widget

Progress appears in the sidebar. It names what is running and the phase it is in, such as customers, charges, subscriptions, members, invoices, people or subscribers, along with a running count of records processed.

Sync All runs every connected platform in order and shows its own overall progress, for example "Sync All 2/5".

Leaving the page

For most imports you can navigate anywhere. Some imports are tied to the page that started them, and KeyMetriq stops you rather than letting you lose the run: an Import in progress dialog warns that leaving will stop the import and may leave partially imported data, and offers Stay on page or Leave anyway.

If you get that dialog, stay. There is no partial-resume; you would restart from the beginning.

When something goes wrong

The widget reports problems rather than hiding them:

  • Stalled: an import stopped making progress. It is shown with a count so you can see how many are affected.

  • Sync completed with errors: the run finished but not everything came across.

  • Retry all re-runs what failed, and Cancel or Cancel all stops what is queued.

Checking afterwards

  1. Import History, on the integrations page, shows what ran and when.

  2. Unmapped, on the same page, holds transactions that could not be matched to a product.

  3. Duplicates is where to go next. A large import is the most likely time for near-duplicate contacts to appear.

How long is too long

There is no fixed answer, since it depends entirely on how much history the platform holds. What matters is movement: a widget whose counter is still climbing is working, even slowly. A run marked stalled is not, and that is your signal to retry it.
